Zonta Ipswich Celebrates Young Women in Business
By Rach Z | Radio Springfield City
Radio Springfield City’s Rach Z welcomed newly elected President-elect of Zonta Ipswich, Leanne Roberts, to the show for a Saturday afternoon. A conversation about leadership, community, and an exciting opportunity for young women in business.
Leanne, who was elected President-elect earlier in the week, said it was a privilege to help lead the Zonta Ipswich club and continue its long history of recognising and celebrating women across the local community.
During the interview, Leanne spoke about the upcoming Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award, a $1,000 award designed to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement by women aged between 18 and 35.
The award is open to women in business in Ipswich who are showing leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and a commitment to making an impact, whether locally or more broadly.
Leanne said the award focuses on young women who are already running successful local businesses and enriching the Ipswich community through their leadership, passion, and drive.
The $1,000 prize is flexible, giving the winner the opportunity to use it in a way that supports their personal or professional growth. This may include developing new skills, undertaking training, supporting a cause they are passionate about, or investing in their future.
Applications close on June 29.
Those interested in applying or finding out more can contact Zonta Ipswich by emailing ipswichzonta@gmail.com and requesting an application form.
Radio Springfield City congratulates Leanne Roberts on her new role as President-elect of Zonta Ipswich and looks forward to following the announcement of this year’s award recipient.
