Ipswich is set to make history this Queensland Day with the release of the city’s very first locally crafted whisky by Imbibis Craft Distillery.
Launching on June 6, the day that celebrates Queensland’s identity and independence, the release pays tribute to the region’s rich heritage and pioneering spirit.
Distilled, aged and bottled in Ipswich, the whisky is the result of years of patience, craftsmanship and a deep connection to place.
“This isn’t just a product launch—it’s a milestone,” said Chief Distiller Jason Hannay.
“We chose Queensland Day deliberately. It represents identity, independence, and that same spirit is captured in this whisky for Ipswich.”
The limited release will be available at the distillery’s cellar door and online, with strong demand expected.
