This week, the Minister for Education, Grace Grace MP along with Principal Anne Lawson, announced that a brand new Springfield Central State High School Senior Campus for Years 10 - 12 will be built close to the University of Southern Queensland - Australia (Springfield) and TAFE Queensland - creating the ultimate Education & Vocational HUB.
Charis Mullen, state member for Jordan, said "this is such an exciting opportunity for our region to lead in the future of education in #Queensland - and I cannot wait to share more details with our community as planning and development gets underway.
"After an exhaustive search for available land, the Queensland Department of Education has now purchased a significant site, not far from our very popular Springfield Central State High School...so we are going to do something Different!
"The new campus will be a 'vertical' school and Stage 1 will include general and specialist learning areas, performing arts centre, multi-purpose sports hall; and substantial green space."
